Welcoming and efficient staff in the whole hotel. Convenient location, relatively near Lost Creek State Park. Safe area.

I'm glad that getting Disability Access room with a balcony and fireplace, for instance was not a problem. The price is just right - me$ 85. As for me location is magnificent and decent, short walk to the aquarium, Rogue brewery, and everything, especially the Rogue Brewery.

The room was larger than we expected, nice view of the water and the location was perfect for what we wanted to do while in Newport.
The cleanliness of the room was questionable. Hair in the bath tub, dirty mircowave.

It was inexpensive
The advertised "includes breakfast" was a muffin and hot beverage served after 8:00... which was of no use to us, even if we did consider that breakfast. The first night there were two rooms occupied on our floor and the innkeeper put us next door to each other!

I liked the location and how easy it was to find.
The bed and pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. The little fan was nice but much help keeping us cool. It would have been nice to have air conditioning. The remote for the TV didn’t work very well. The switch to change channels didn’t work.

Right next to Rogue Brewery and the room was very spacious with a balcony with a view of the river and bridge.
They tried to have us pay more then the reservation said, but that was corrected quickly enough. Breakfast consisted of muffins, but they were nice. WIFI didn't work.

This is a great place to stay if you like beer! We wanted to visit the Rogue Brewery and the hotel is right opposite - couldn't be a better location. Also very convenient to the Aquarium and Marine Science Center, both of which are really interesting and worth a visit. Despite being right next to highway 101, it is pretty quiet over this side of the bridge, away from downtown and Nye Beach. Views over the bay are nice.
No coffee maker in rooms. Not enough shampoo packets. Towels are too small. Very limited breakfast and only from 8 til 9 am. No a/c.

The free coffee was great :) The cost of the room, everywhere else was 143-199 a night in the area.
The green carpet in our room was scary! It was hard and crispy and the sofa in our room was not good looking either. Also the rooms came with a VCR, and you have to pay the hotel $3.00 per movie?? What you can get redbox for $1.00. Obviously those movies were as old as me. The hot tub smelled like mold. Definitely a scary hotel but if don't have a lot of money and want to stay at the coast it's ok.

Large room with balcony and side view of landmark bridge. An older facility with good effort at reasonable upgrades to exterior and public areas. Staff attention to requests re: error with original booking (double charge) and effort to maximize accessibility to WiFi router by reassigning room (however to no avail - see below).
Submitted upon checkout a long list of some 10 repairs needed in the room. Management appreciated the information: "If no one tells me, I can't do anything about it." OK, however, good standard and general hotel management would not have to wait for guests to alert them to dirt under furniture, trash in drawers, non functioning appliances, etc. Main complaint: promised WiFi is meager at best; virtually unavailable! When advertised WiFi is one of two reasons for selecting a hotel and when the hotel router proves inadequate to a room even two floors directly above it, one fears inappropriate marketing.

The hotel was conveniently located near a fun beach and a great brewery. Everything was clean and felt comfy. Just a heads up, the room was a little noisy, so bring earplugs if you're sensitive to sound.

Comfortable Stay with Essential Amenities
Although I recommend bringing your own toiletries, the spacious layout was nice. The unexpected view of the RV park was unique, giving a sense of local flavor. Check-in was smooth!
